colors in a box...
let's take them out and play...
color me a rainbow...
on a rainy day...
has this box made a bigger space...
tell me how it's free...
or has it made a safer place...
for you to live and be...
share with me your living...
i really want to hear...
how this box has made things real...
with all it's colors and tiers...
show me an experience of message...
don't rattle out doctrines instead...
it's like the ten commandments...
just words inside your head...
i am a rainbow of color...
i wasn't built to confine...
born to color outside of the box...
and outside every line...
share with me your experience...
the message...not what is taught...
the rainbow you are is priceless...
not the colors in a box you bought...

I think we enjoy playing anywhere. Experience is important, poetry is one of my joys, but there's room for technical precision too.
Inside the lines, outside. What's the difference?
Why the valorization of “outside” over “in”?
outside includes in; but then…you KNOW this…however; as i am sure you are well aware, in, does not always include outside when our perspectives are blocked by conditioning…it has been my experience, that we can get lost on the inside, and fail to accept the reality of the outer…especially where spiritual practices are concerned…iow…lets all go climb some mountain in tibet and get lost in a cave…no wonder those poor bastards went coo-coo…saw visions…ect…
in my experience, we begin with outside…trying to explain the in…then, we invert in, and try and explain out…by this point, we have a pretty good idea of what in is if we have been paying attention to our own awareness…so it becomes time to venture out again…isn't this the very message of tsk? the quadrants? the colors?
i want to hear YOU in your technical explanations…the YOU i heard in your presentation…the YOU i asked you to expound on…not the teachings…but how YOU have incorporated their message…
within your very presentation there were expressions that touched so many…even adam…LOL…this is where the teachings come to life my dear friend…in your very expression of them…i love technical precision…but when that is all it is…it becomes dry…lifeless…i want you to share your experience…with me and others…much joy*
btw…you honor me with your presence…
Thank you for the invitation, Star. The way you worded it sounded demeaning to something that also has usefulness and value (it isn't “childish” compared to “experience”), but I hear what you are saying, and agree with you that too much of the technical stuff gets dry and boring. I like to sing too…
The way you worded it sounded demeaning to something that also has usefulness and value
you'll have to be more specific than this bruce, otherwise, i am left to my own imagination to interpret exactly what you mean…iow, what wording exactly made what sound demeaning and how?
i am always open to learn…from your experiences…and have already! joy*
sing to me baby…through your technical experience…lol
you color many of our worlds here star….big love!

bruce, were my questions to difficult to answer?
or, are you just ignoring me? (i get that alot…lol)
Sorry, no, not ignoring you! I am just focusing on the symposium posts (and letting even my own discussion forums which I moderate sit on the backburner).
But telling me to “come out of my box” in my PM did sound derogatory to me, as if I've been ensconced in doctrine in my sharings and contributions here. I don't feel that's the case. I have been using a language that is common to one of the central “views” we're exploring in this symposium: Integral Theory.
I hear your call to share more personal examples, though, Starlight! I actually have been planning a couple more creative blog entries for a few days – a play on the blind man and the elephant metaphor, and maybe something on practices for embodying the views we're exploring – but most of my attention has just been on keeping up with the posts…
And waiting on God to post. LOL.
Best wishes,
B.
well, hmmmmmmmm…you took it derogatory? it was a joke, but i would say that i do see within your writings sometimes the tendancy to be boxed into your ideas with tsk and integral theory…and your response is much like those that respond when their religious beliefs are challenged…since by your own admission, that you took what i said to have a derogatory meaning, maybe you should investigate your attachment to your belief system…dunno…but your honesty is appreciated.
i look forward to your sharing a more experiential aspect of aqal and tsk…b/c seriously dude, you can sound ensconced in doctrine…just an obvservation…but hey, i know i appear to be the other way…without doctrine…LOL
you color many of our worlds here star….big love!

thank you aley…i thought i had already posted a response…maybe i'm losing it…LOL
all these intellectual concepts flying around in my mind…lordy, lordy…but it is good i suppose to expand your brain…i'm having fun…but sometimes they just make my mind hurt…lol…anyways, thnx for stopping by…*
